Today was a low key day for me.  I wasn't in a great mood, so I just chilled for the most part.  I did work on a card for Ron for Valentines day from Creative Memories.  I used on of the layouts I got a week or so ago on sale and changed it up a little, then added some of our photos from a few years back, and sent it off to be printed, along with one that I did of the boys last week.  CM is having a sale on the printing for like 30% off or something, so I thought it would be a good time to do it.  Can't wait to get them back and see how they look.

Tonight, Ron and I were "scheduled" to have date night.  I had a meeting for Relay, so I arranged for the boys to stay with my parents for the night.  I told Ron we could have a date night after my meeting, well, he got home at 6:30 and I didn't get home until almost 8:30, oops!  We had a gift card to outback, so we went there for a late dinner, and then we came home and chillaxed in front of the TV.  Not too cool for a date night, but it was nice getting away and getting to talk over dinner.

Today's POTD is of Zach and his elementary sped teacher, Miss Shaw now Mrs. Shuemaker.  We have remained close to her and her family.  We went to her nephew's basketball games tonight.  They were actually playing Zach's school, so it was pretty fun.  Her nephew Luke and Zach hit it off the first time they met!  They have an awesome bond that is hard to explain, but is very special!

Today's POTD is the boys!  I am trying to make a photo greeting card in Creative Memories software for my Mother in Law for Valentines day, and I wanted some updated photos of the boys.  After speech we went to a nearby park and took some photos and let the boys chase the ducks and geese.  They had a good time and I got a few good photos I hope!

Today I started cleaning and trying to organize my craft space at home.  I've had these organizer bins for quite some time now, but wasn't sure that I would like them on my craft table.  I think I do, now that I have them here.  I bought a new shelf at Michael's on Sunday.  It was on sale for 40% off plus I had a coupon for an additional 25% off, so it was hard to pass it up.  Now I just have to clean a spot for the new shelf and re-organize it all!

Today Riley read his First book!  He has been doing really well reading sentences each night for reading homework and I keep telling his he needs to read book and he would swear that he couldn't read!  "I can't read books" he would say, so this morning before school I got out "The Ear Book" and asked him to read it.  I had to "bribe" him with a sticker chart and a trip to Toys R Us once it's full, but he did it!  He was pretty proud, but not as Proud as me!

Today, Ron went to the Nugget's game.  The boss got a hold of a box and had tickets to share, so Ron took a couple of his guys with him.  I think they had a good time.  He said they won, so that was good.  He isn't much of a sports fan, but he doesn't mind a good game every now and then!

Today I went to a crop and got little done.  (What else is new, right?)  Anyway, one of the ladies was going down the street to Vienna's (the lady that was selling the cricut cartridges so cheep the last couple of months), so I asked if she could ask about the essential oil that she gave me to help with Zach's boils.  It has actually been working and I wasn't sure about how to mix up the Thieves Oil, so I wanted to know if she would give me more and how much she would charge me?  Well, she gave me the oil for free, but charged me $3.00 for the bottle.  Can't beat that if it continues to work!

Today Zach had FCCLA yearbook photos taken and also got his t-shirt, which he was very proud of.  He really loves being part of a group.  It is really great the way the kids have taken too him and accepted him!  Makes me smile!

Today the boys and I went and got our hair cut.  Zach once again fell asleep in the chair!  I think it is a little too relaxing for him.  He has been falling asleep during his hair cuts for close to a year or so now.  I forgot to bring my camera, but got it on my cell phone!

Riley is still running fevers!  Strep Throat is not his friend!  Both times he has had it, it has really kicked his butt!  Hopefully he will make a turn for the better soon!  Notice the wet hair from the fever breaking, and loyal Mr. Monkey by his side!

Today's POTD is of Riley waiting to go to the doctors.  He started feeling bad last night, high fevers, no energy, and sore throat,  just the way he did last time he had strep throat.  I hate it when kids are sick, because they are so miserable.

Today's POTD is Mr. Monkey!  I don't remember when Riley got this monkey, but it was probably when he was 2 or 3.  I am not a huge fan of stuffed animals, but I have always liked the TY beanies/buddies, so this is one of the only stuffed animals that Riley has ever got.  Well, Mr. Monkey is by far Riley's favorite.  I wouldn't say he is attached to Mr. Monkey, because many nights Riley goes to bed without him.  But anytime Riley isn't feeling well, or if he is sad, or if he just lays in bed too long and thinks about it, he wants Mr. Monkey!  I have gone outside very late at night to retrieve Mr. Monkey from the car, and I have spent hours looking for Mr. Monkey just to find him hiding under the computer desk, or under the covers on Riley's bed.  Riley really loves Mr. Monkey, and I am sure he will have him around for many more years to come!  What a special member of our Family!

Finally got my table back in the kitchen tonight before dinner.  Ron started the refinish job before Christmas.  It looks great!  Better than ever, since it was a hand me down table!  Thanks Babe, I love it!

Today's POTD is my cinnamon rolls ready to be cooked.  I got this recipe from one of the ladies at Bunco the other night.  They look so good, but I just realized this morning that I forgot to spray the pan last night, Uh Oh!  I guess we'll see, we may have to eat them out of the pan with spoons!  Now to go cook them!

Tonight Riley and I were playing a geography game on the iPad and I had to get up to do something and the next thing I know he was on the toilet with my iPad.  I had to laugh, and take a few photos for a page later, then I took the expensive devise out of his had and gave him a book instead!  Too funny!

Today's prompt (from my P365 chat friends) was glasses!  Well, Zach is the only one of use that wears galsses on a regular basis.  Ron has some to use while reading, but he only uses them at work from time to time.  Zach on the other hand, wears his ALL the time, including when he is asleep.  It is crazy I know and not really good on the frames, but he insists, so Ron and I will usually go in after he has fallen asleep and pull them off.  He must be comfortable in his glasses!

Today I took Zach to Denver to participate in a basketball clinic with the Denver Nuggets.  It was so much fun for him to get to hang out and learn from most of the team.  All the players and coaches were very nice, it was great.  I asked one guy who the crazy guy was helping in the training section and he said that he was the head trainer for the Nuggets and one of the top trainers in the NBA.  Pretty cool!  At the end they gave us all time to get photos and autographs of each of them, plus they gave each kid a full roster page with signatures on it.  Zach felt so comfortable with "the guys" that he was inviting them to his basketball game.  Once we got back and my phone rang and he thought for sure it was "the guys" calling to come to dinner.  Too funny!  What a great day!

Today Mom and I went over to the same lady that we found on Craigslist back in December.  She had found a few more cartridges, actually quite a few more.  Anyway, I had planned on not getting any for me, just letting Mom get some since I gave her my baby bug, well she had Mini Monsters, and I have really been wanting that one, and then I found the Just Because Cards and thought it might be a good one.  Mom got quite a few and she also picked some up for my sister.  Such a great deal at $20 each!  She also had a bunch of embellishments and I just couldn't pass up these heart brads.  She only charged me $1 for them, so I was glad I got them.  Vienna is her name and she is really nice, she actually gave me some Thieves Oil to try using on Zach's boils, and got me looking into essential oils, so we'll see what happens with that.

Well yesterday I got out my scrapbook stuff and did a two page layout, I decided to just leave it out for a little while and see if I can get back to it.  Well today I did get back to it, so I am very happy.  I got a 4 page layout laid out, but realized that I wanted to change something, so am going to have to do a page or two before the four pager, but had to cook dinner, do tongue therapy, and help with homework, so wont' get back to it tonight, but it's still out for the next few minutes I get!

Today was a snow day!  Actually the plan was for me to run to the store, before the storm hit, and that didn't happen, but the roads were just starting to get bad by the time I got home, so all was good.  Ron felt a little bad for doing nothing yesterday, so today he kept the sidewalks cleaned off and he worked on the kitchen table.  Not sure if it's done and just drying or if he has to do more, so I guess we'll see.

Today I took my baby bug to Mom and helped her move stuff around to make room for it and then set it up for her.  I think she is going to like it, she never really played with mine, she always had me or my sister cut stuff for her, not anymore!  I forgot to take a picture of hers,so when I got home I took mine out of the box and set it up in it's new home!  It looks a little plain, I may have to get some vinyl and jazz it up!

Tonight Ron and I vegged on the couch together while the boys entertained themselves in the basement.   It was pretty nice!  I don't really know what was on the TV, but he had his laptop and I had my iPad and we both ended up falling asleep right there.  Maybe that is a glimpse of our future, the empty nest thing we long for, except the boys started fighting about midnight so I sent them both to bed instead of getting to sleep downstairs!  Poof there went the empty nest dream!

~WOOOOO WHOOOO~  Today I got my package from HSN.  My new Cricut Expression and my new Gypsy and 3 cartridges.  I am so excited!  I will now give my baby bug to my Mom and get her started loving the cricut like I do!  I also have to send the new Gypsy to Provo Craft so they can re-serialize it to match my old one!  Can't wait to have it back again!

Tonight, at bedtime, I had the boys hug each other!  I needed a POTD and I think they needed hugs!  I don't make them do this often, nor nearly enough, but I am sure glad when they don't whine when I ask them to do it.  I especially like it when they do it all on their own, which is few and far between, but it means so much more when they do it on their own.  Someday I am sure they will be close, I am much closer to my siblings now and I don't remember EVER hugging either of them when we were growing up!

Tonight was Bunco night and I WON!  I didn't win everything, I actually split the most bunco pot with another gal, so we each got $20 and then after we play bunco, we play Left, Right, Center.  It is really fun and if you win it (like I did) you get $3 times the number of ladies playing.  So tonight I left with $13, and came home with $47!  Wooo Whoo!

Today's POTD is of the boys in front of the Christmas tree.  They were being silly, but that is how they usually are.  I plan on taking the tree down tomorrow, or starting the process anyway, and wanted to have a photo of them in front of it!  I am really ready to have the house back!

Today Zach and I went to see the Chronicles of Narnia movie with my Mom, sister and niece.  It was a really good movie!  Zach has really enjoyed all the Chronicles of Narnia movies, and he really enjoyed this one too.  It's nice to start the new year off with such a good movie and with great family too!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I am excited to start my second year of taking a picture everyday!  I really enjoyed it last year, even though I had to play catch up from time to time to get it logged on my blog, I think it is a neat way to document the year!  Today's photo is me and my husband, Ron.  We rang in the new year together as we have for probably the last 20 plus years.  This year was just us, as the boys stayed the night with Grammy and Papa, we kept it low key, I updated my 2010 blog and he played games on the computer, then he fell asleep and I played games on the computer and I woke him up at midnight for that special Kiss!  No matter how boring we become, I always want to ring in the new year with him by my side!  I love you forever and always babe!
