Day 93

Sunday, April 3, 2011
Today we woke up to our window being broken.  We had really high winds last night and we believe a roof shingle got thrown into the window and broke it.  Not a lot of fun to clean up such a big mess, but we have shingles all over the yard, maybe we'll get a new roof out of it!

Day 92

Saturday, April 2, 2011
Zach started another year of soccer with Special Olympics.  He really didn't like soccer a few years ago, but the better he became at it, and the fact that he is playing with kids he knows better now, I think he is beginning to like it more and more.

Day 91

Friday, April 1, 2011
Today, somebody rang the doorbell, and when I opened the door, a young kid was standing on the porch holding this silver necklace.  He said that he was walking and found it in my neighbor's yard, but they weren't home and he thought it might be important.  I was surprised, that this day in age anyone would be so honest.  I guess there are still good people in this world!

Day 90

Thursday March 31, 2011
Today's POTD is of Riley doing homework.  This is a normal thing anymore.  He has to come home from school, have a snack and get started on homework, otherwise he won't get it done.

Day 89

Wednesday, March 30, 2011
My little geranium bloomed!  It is so nice to have a flower in the house.  This has been one hardy flower, it keeps blooming for me and I just love it.

Day 88

Tuesday, March 29, 2011
Today's POTD is of Ron in his favorite spot.  He likes to kick back after a long day at work and either play games on Club Pogo, or look up parts and or ideas for the bathroom job.  I think he is in his element: feet up, laptop on, remote close by, what else could he want?

Day 87

Monday, March 28, 2011
Riley chose to take a picture of the Bob the Builder pillow handcuffed to the entertainment center today.  It never surprises me any more what these boys will come up with while playing.  I guess I should be happy that they can entertain themselves for a little bit.

Day 86

Sunday, March 27, 2011

Before we headed home today, we got pictures of the boys with Vince and Molly.  They asked Zach to hand out programs at their wedding and Riley to be the ring bearer.  The boys were very excited, and can hardly wait for September to come!

Day 85

Saturday, March 26, 2011
Today is my sister's birthday, and I didn't even get a photo of her!  Ron and Tyler played guitar hero in the hotel room while the rest of talked, and talked and talked!

Day 84

Friday, March 25, 2011
We made it to Hays!  The boys had a good time in the pool, while the rest of us chatted away!

Day 83

Thursday, March 24, 2011

Today the boys tried to help out in the bathroom.  It looked like fun when Daddy was doing it, but it was harder than it looked!

Day 82

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

We are heading out of town for a mini fun trip.  We are meeting family from Kansas in Hays for the weekend.  We like to make what we call Gorp.  It is a mixture of different cereals and candies, marshmallows, sometimes pretzels, and nuts.  It is a great travel snack and it's kind of our road trip thing.

Day 81

Tuesday, March 22, 2011
He is off and running with the demo!

Monday, August 22, 2011

Day 80

Monday, March 21, 2011
Today's POTD is the before photo on our new Master Bath remodel project.  Ron has this week off as well as the boys for Spring Break.  He decided to start the bathroom remodel since the mold smell was getting too much for all of us.  We have no clue what we want done, but we know we want a change.  Hopefully I will be able to show the after someday soon!

Day 79

Sunday, March 20, 2011
Today's POTD is a couple of bags of stuff from the boy's room that they decided to give away.  I made them clean up their room and told them that they needed to pick a few things to give to kids that don't have as much or any toys.  I was very proud of them both, after a little bit they were both putting toys and movies in the bags to pass on.

Day 79

Saturday, March 19, 2011
Today we went to Lakewood to the Special Olympics State Games for basketball.  Both the games were so close it was crazy!  Zach made a three pointer in the first game!  We ended up taking second place, but it was so close, and all the kids played well!  What fun!

Day 77

Friday, March 18, 2011
So today's POTD, is of the two books I have been reading.  I am participating in a Lenten reading with some online friends, going through the New Testament, and I am also reading my latest "smut novel" "Lover Awakened" by JR Ward.  I had them on the entertainment stand and Ron says, "is that book so bad you need to keep it with the Bible?"  I said close maybe, but no, I just am trying to make sure I take the time to read both each day.

Day 76

Thursday, March 17, 2011
Happy St. Patty's Day!  This morning while Riley was still sleeping, my Mom and I made about 30 of these leprechaun hats.  I gave them to Riley's teacher to hand out to the kids in his class.  I didn't let Riley know about it, and I guess the teacher put them out while the kids were at music.  When they came in they were all excited, and were like "hey where did these come from?" The teacher told them that she and Miss Lundy were just sitting there grading papers and they heard a small scratching noise and when they looked up they didn't see anything and then they heard it again and looked up and there were all these little hats on the desks.  I guess Riley raised his hand and said he bet it was a leprechaun and then another boy said "yeah, because they are so small you can't see them" and then another girl says "I bet it's because I found the treasure this morning".  The teacher said it was the best thing ever!

Day 75

Wednesday, March 16, 2011
Today's POTD is of Riley just being silly!  I think he looks a little like Charlie Chapman.

Day 74

Tuesday, March 15, 2011
Today is TCU (Team Captain University) for our Relay.  I am helping the committee put the training on again this year.  Our theme this year is "Seasons of Hope", and we thought it would be neat to have center pieces on the tables to go along with this theme.  I was assigned fall for my table, and was going to do some cricut cuts and just stick them in a basket, but my sister said she would make an arrangement for me, so I just cut out the Hopes and stuck them in her arrangement.  I am thankful for her arrangement, because as always, I was running behind schedule and I didn't have time to do my original plan, not to mention that it wouldn't have looked that great.
